Javon! My bro pretty much ever since 2nd grade. The dude that has always had my back. The strongest person I know. I can't believe you're really moving man. I know you need to be with family during such a tragic time but this was not part of the plan. We were suppose to kill on that "O" line this coming football season and deal with Coach Reyes everyday at practice together. We were suppose to walk on that stage together senior year and receive our diplomas. But God must have a better plan and I guess we just have to roll with it. Just wanted you to know that I love you bruh bruh and I'm gonna miss you.

It Is What It Is
Well today was fantastic! Didn't have school again! Way to go Kershaw County School District! Ran some errands for mother dearest and then got fitted for my tux for Miss Gold and Black. Me, my boy Javon, and Parker went to Chic Fila then Sandhills. Met up with Heath who I haven't seen or talked to in forever. It brought back crazy memories from our Australia trip. We definitely were inseperable and always getting into trouble. I'm convinced we were Mrs. Whitesell's favorites! Also saw Caroline and whats her face there with some dude. Caroline, please never wear those hideous elf shoes again!!!! Walked around Sandhills all day and then drove home. Watched the Tarheels beat VT. Great way to end the day. Life is good!

Goose Bumps or God Talkin'?
The Bible tells us that God lives within us. But we don't always feel him do we? Sometimes we feel lonely; we start to question if God is really there.
This past weekend I went on a ski trip to this retreat in North Carolina with my youth group. About 20 people from my youth along with a bunch of St. John's people left Friday and got back Sunday afternoon. We got to the retreat, checked into our rooms, then went to this program. The Justin Graves Brand played and then this fantastic speaker with a deep Texan accent preached the word. "Hallelooyer". Saturday was our ski day. Never been skiing before. What a sight! Went down the slopes once and already convinced myself that I'm never going skiing again, atleast not for a while. I pretty much slid down the hill rather than ski down. Probably fell atleast 25 times. After an eventful day on the slopes, drove back to the hotel and ate a small supper. Then we went to the program. After the Justin Graves band sang some songs, the speaker preached a powerful message. Then, several stations were set up down front for anyone who wanted to take communion while Justin Graves played his guitar. I feel like this was the highlight of my trip and more importantly, a turning point in my life. After I took the bread and the grape juice, I knelt at the altar and said a quick prayer then returned to my seat. As I was sitting there, I saw this guy pass by who looked to be about my age who had a severe walking disability. Even though he had this special walker, he had to have someone assist him. He looked like he was struggling and in a significant amount of pain. When I saw this, I surprisingly began to cry. I'm not much of the crying type but this guy touched my heart. He loved his God so much that despite his severe disability he was willing to walk in front of 300+ people just to take communion. I think this was God's way of saying "Um, I'm right here". So whenever you get that depressing feeling of being alone, know that you're not. God exist inside you; he's right there in your heart. You just have to be quiet for a minute and let him speak.

Somethin' New
Well I'm new to this whole blogging thing. Got bored at home and a lot of my friends do this so figured I'd give it a shot. I like writing, not the lame crap we did in Mrs. Rundletts class this semester, but writing that has substance. Its a great way of expressing who you are and how you feel when you can't quite find the right words to say. Not exactly sure what I wanna be when I get older, but a sports writer for Sports Illustrated or ESPN is definitely in the top 5. I guess this can be a first step.
Today was not all that great. Woke up at noon. Had to get out of the house so I hung out with Fletcher, Haley, and my little bro. Today, I "walked" to McDonalds. It felt so weird to not be able to drive. Very immobile. Not cool! Came back and played the wii then just chilled. Thats about it. Boring boring boring!
No school tomorrow so that means another late night. And hopefully the roads will be better tomorrow so Mom will let me drive and actually do something.
