So I never blog anymore but something happened tonight that inspired me to blog. Tonight at youth we talked about the Dash. The Dash is the - that will be in between your birth date and the date of your death on your tombstone. This is the part that people will remember you by when they walk by your grave. So of course I started to wonder what people are going to remember me by. Are they going to talk bad about me or remember me as the guy who lived his life to the fulliest and in the best way possible? This thought also lead to another question......where do we get this desired fulfillment from? The answer to that, I feel, is in helping others. Christ's service. Helping someone in need or just going the extra mile to make someone feel special gives you that "warm fuzzy feeling" inside. It gives you a sense of self fulfillment. You may have helped someone greatly, but in turn, you have helped yourself just as much. When someone tells you that you made their day, you get that sense of success. You start to understand why God put you on this planet. I'd like to end this post with a video of a guy truly living his life to the fulliest by helping others in one of the smalliest and easiest ways possible. Saw this video at youth tonight and it really touched me. Hopefully it will touch you too. You never know how much of an impact you can make on a person's life by just showing that you care for them.
